We finished our first week of Phase 3, and we were so delighted to have the kids in the class for a full day! We learned about patterns and shapes and finished up our learning about our community. Here are the important reminders for next week: Asynchronous Wednesdays You should have received an email from Mrs. Nash about our plan to have asynchronous Wednesdays until Phase 5. Math will continue to be at “11:15 on the screen” Please have playdoh available for math on Tuesday Thank You!!!! Thank you for your patience with us as we work out the technical kinks and logistics of teaching live and online simultaneously. Lunch for Face-to-Face Students If student is getting school lunch (which is free) please let us know as students are coming in with only snacks in their lunch boxes and not telling us they are getting school lunch – they are still getting to know us so that may be part of their shyness or confusion. Masks Please make sure your student has at least 1-2 extra masks in their bookbag when they come for face-to-face. Snacks Don’t forget to bring a snack when you are face to face. Good Morning! It’s Wednesday – Sing Alice the Camel with your kids. As a reminder this week is the beginning of the end of Teleschool therefore we won’t deliver new material in lessons. We are focusing on providing a daily email with the morning message, a mystery reader, and a list of resources that you may or may not have begun using from our previous lessons as a way to continue learning. I’m attaching the instructions for Wednesday virtual field day should you choose to do this activity. No need to do all of it, but maybe a few stations would be doable with your materials from home. You can even make up your own silly activity. We’d love to see some pics of the fun!

As mentioned before, we will no longer have the choiceboard grid and you will not be asked to send in a weekly summary of activities. Hoping you find a little break from any of the stress Teleschool has brought to your family as we are aware of the extra work it requires to aid the little ones in their learning. We are still here every day and will check in on you, and feel free to let us know that you need us! Sincerely, Your Pre-K Team |
